Radiation Oncologist (Aug - Dec )

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist for a 5-month locums assignment beginning July 27, 2026. This is a hospital-based opportunity with a strong support team.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (30-min unpaid lunch)
Coverage dates:
July 27–31
August 10–September 25
October 19–December 18

Practice Details:

Hospital-based oncology department
EMR: EPIC
Average 28–35 patients/day (shared)
Adult patient population (18+)
Collaborative team including additional MD, physicist, dosimetrist, oncology RNs, pharmacists, and palliative support

Procedures & Cases:

CT simulation, 3D conformal planning, fiducial marker placement
IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, Electron Beam Therapy
Case mix includes breast, prostate, lung, CNS, head & neck, skin, and emergent/palliative cases

Requirements:

Board Certified (required)
BLS & ACLS
DEA
2–5+ years experience preferred
Willing to license (with IMLC)

• Cases include - breast, prostate, CNS, head and neck, lung, skin, palliative/emergent, tumor bleed, spinal cord compression, brain metastases, SVC syndrome.
