Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 12 shifts
• Patients per day: PICU Day: M-F 5:1, WEs 7:1, PICU Nights: 10:1, TCUP Day: 5-8:1, TCUP Nights 16:1
• Patient population/age: peds
• Department description: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides extraordinary high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. The unit has 20 beds for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery.

The Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP) is a 16-bed unit for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. The TCU provides care to patients with a moderate to high complexity of disease such as those recovering from solid organ transplantation, requiring non-invasive mechanical ventilation including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, titration of anticoagulant therapy, and post-operative specialty surgery care (ENT, neurosurgery).
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 16-20
Requirements:
• Board Certification: **NP MUST BE CPNP-AC**
If PA, then a masters in physician assistant studies or medical studies required
• License required: yes, CA
• DEA: required
• Minimum experience required: 1 year of PICU, PCICU, or Peds Hospitalist experience required

  • (3) 12 hour shifts per week
  • Day shift and night shift
  • Weekly Stipend
