Neurologist Needed | Inpatient Hospital Coverage | Anderson, SC

Job description

Seeking a Neurologist (MD/DO) for inpatient coverage in the Anderson Metro Area, South Carolina.

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (block coverage dates)
Assignment Dates: Early August 2026 – Mid-September 2026 (intermittent coverage blocks)
Setting: Inpatient Neurology (Level II Trauma Center)
On-Site Only

Coverage Dates:

Early August 2026 (first week)
Late August 2026 (last week)
Early September 2026 (second week)

Responsibilities:

Inpatient neurology consults and management
Approximately 20 patients per day
Perform lumbar punctures and administer thrombolytic therapy as needed
On-site call coverage during assigned blocks

Requirements:

MD or DO specializing in Neurology
Board Certified in Neurology
Active South Carolina medical license and DEA required
Clean background required
Comfortable with acute inpatient neurology procedures

Additional Details:

Epic EMR system
Collaborative neurology team (5 neurologists on service)
2-month credentialing timeline
