Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Locum Opportunity – St. Paul, MN

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota

Specialty: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

Start Date: September 2026

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks with Ongoing Extension Potential

Schedule

* Monday–Friday
* Full-time coverage preferred
* Providers with at least 2 consecutive weeks of availability will be considered
* No routine call requirements for locum coverage

Practice Setting

* Inpatient Rehabilitation and Outpatient Clinic
* Collaborative practice environment
* Strong partnership with Neurology and Neurosurgery teams
* Robust Hospitalist support on the inpatient rehabilitation unit
* Established PM&R team with experienced staff

Patient Volume

* Approximately 16 patients per day
* Mix of consultations, evaluations, admissions, ongoing care, and discharges

Clinical Responsibilities

* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological and physical impairments
* Provide inpatient rehabilitation care, outpatient follow-up, and consultation services
* Develop and monitor individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
* Manage admissions, ongoing care, and discharges
* No procedures required

Patient Population

* Adult rehabilitation patients
* Strong emphasis on neurorehabilitation

Preferred Experience

* Spasticity management, including evaluation, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions
* Experience caring for patients with acquired or developmental neurological impairments
* Familiarity with rehabilitation-focused treatment plans, orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices

Support Staff

* 1.5 APPs available Monday–Friday
* Hospitalist support on inpatient rehabilitation unit
* Collaborative multidisciplinary rehabilitation team

Requirements

* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
* Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited PM&R residency program
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
* Active Minnesota medical license required
* DEA required
* Prescription Monitoring Program registration required
* National Provider Identifier (NPI) required
* BLS and ACLS certifications required

Credentialing

* Standard credentialing timeframe applies
