Pediatric Hospitalist Locum Need in Minnesota!

Job description

Dates:
• July: 5-6, 8-9, 16-17, 21, 28-29
• August: 1-4, 8-16, 23-29
• September: 3-20, 23-28
• October: 3-12, 17-31
• November: 1-8, 17-30
• December: 1-18, 23-26, 30-31

Specialty: Hospitalist-Pediatrician
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 months with an option to extend
Shift Details: Daily, 6 AM - 6 PM on-site
Schedule: Daily

Work Details:
• Support Staff: Will have call room and support
• Coverage Needed: Full-time equivalent (FTE)
• Patients per Day: 9-13
• Department Description: Discontinuing inpatient pediatric department at Mercy; will continue nursery coverage and handle sick/healthy pediatric patients in the emergency department. Admissions will be transferred to another Allina site.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Epic
• Hospital Bed Size: 12 rooms (up to 16 babies total)
• Skills Required: Nursery rounding, neonatal code response, circumcisions. Comfortable taking ED consult calls for pediatric patients (no admissions).

Practice Setting: Hospital

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Required
• State License: MN License Required
• Residency Training: Completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency training program in Pediatrics
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Experience: 0-2 years (if dual-boarded in Internal Medicine, consideration for IM position at Mercy if comfortable with sick pediatric patients)

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 Days

Willing to License: Only if IMLC or if they qualify for the MN Temp License
