Pediatrician needed for Saipan

Seeking a full time BC/BE pediatrician to join three BC pediatricians and Pediatric PA. New and recent residency grads are encouraged to apply. Full time is 40 hrs per week split between inpatient and clinic shifts. Home-call during inpatient shifts allows plenty of time to enjoy the island. Annual contract includes:

5 weeks annual vacation

Sick leave

Health insurance, Retirement, Life insurance (optional)
Round trip flight for family

First month of accommodation
Mentorship opportunities as established residency rotation for UCSF.

Base salary $165,000, increases with board certification, years of experiences, specialty etc.

DETAILS:
Saipan is an island in the western Pacific. It's the largest island in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, an archipelago that's part of the U.S.A. If you've never heard of it, either had I until a couple years ago.

As pediatricians here, our group provides inpatient care in all units, as needed: ward, NICU, nursery as well as outpatient well child care -- with occasional opportunities for PICU, transport medicine as well. We work within the Commonwealth Health Center Hospital, which is the one hospital that provides care for all the children in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas and see a wide variety of cases. This is all done working 40 hours a week.

It is a great opportunity to work with an underserved population while still being on United States soil yet being at Asia's doorstep. The work environment is relaxed and the island itself is a tropical paradise with plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun. The cost of living here is low. When you establish residency here, there is a significant tax break on competitive pay. The hospital would support your and your dependents' flight costs to the island.
