📢 Now Hiring: Pediatrician – Locum Tenens Opportunity in Hayward, California!

📍 Position Details:
• Contract Length: 4-months
• Shift/Schedule Details: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. NO CALL. NO WEEKENDS.

Job Overview:
We’re looking for a Locum Pediatrician for our 4-month contract opportunity through Aya Locums. The role involves providing primary care pediatric services, including well-child exams, sick visits, and managing related in-basket work. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, serving primarily pediatric patients, and occasionally young adults up to 21 years old.

Responsibilities:
• Provide pediatric care, including well-child exams, sick visits, and related in-basket work
• Maintain a patient load of about 20 patients per day
• Use EPIC EMR effectively to manage patient records and documentation
• Suture removal and other minor procedures
• Strong focus on pediatric wellness and preventive care
• Spanish language skills are highly valued

Work Environment:
• Support Team: Pediatricians, Family Practice Physicians (no APPs)
• Patient Demographics: Primarily children under 18, with some patients up to 21
• Special Procedures: Basic procedures such as suture removal
• EMR System: EPIC

Qualifications:
• Board Certification: Must be BC in Pediatrics
• License: Must hold an active California medical license
• DEA: Must have a California DEA with Schedule 2/2N
• Certifications: Must hold BLS certification
• Experience: At least 2 years in pediatric primary care
• Preferred Experience: FQHC or Community Care background, Spanish-speaking

Additional Information:
• Credentialing Timeframe: 45-90 days
• Interview Process: 1-2 interviews
