NEW Pediatrician Outpatient Opportunity in Oakland, CA!

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatrician (MD) to cover an outpatient clinic for a 16-week Locum Tenens contract starting May 5, 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pediatrician to provide high-quality care in a supportive, physician-only environment while maintaining a work-life balance with no weekends or call requirements.

Position Details:
*Anticipated Start Date: May 5, 2025
*Contract Length: 16 weeks (4 months)
*Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible: 3-5 days/week)
*Shifts: 4 x 8-hour shifts
*Patient Load: 10 per half-day, 20 per full-day
*Patient Population: Pediatrics (up to 21 years old, though rarely over 18)
*Setting: Outpatient Clinic
*Support Staff: Physician-only team
*EMR: EPIC

Requirements:
*Board Certification: Pediatrics (BC required)
*Licensure: Must hold a valid California state license
*Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience (outpatient required; inpatient considered only if outpatient experience is also present)
*Certifications: BLS or PALS
*DEA: Required
*Language Skills: Spanish-speaking highly preferred
*Credentialing Timeline: 60 – 90 days
