- CICU/PICU:Heavily looking at Cardiac experience, if they can manage ECMO & CRRT that is a huge plus!
- Board Certification requirement: CPNP-AC and PA-C
- Temp to Perm an Opportunity: Yes
- Minimum of 2-3 years of pediatric acute care experience
- Facility Length of Credentialing: 60-90 Days
- Length of Assignment: 1 year preferred
- Shift Type: 24/7 coverage; 6a-7p or 6a-8p
- Units are moving toward 24/7 coverage. Locum APP will need to agree to nocturnal coverage.
- 25 Bed Cardiac Unit
-How Many Shifts a Month Commitment? 10-14 (Ideal 4/3 or 3/4 split. No “stretches” > 4-5 days in a row)
- On Call: No
- Transports: No
- Case Load: 1:5-8 (days) – night coverage staffing ratios will be higher once nocturnal coverage has been established.
- Patient Population: Neonate – 21 years.
- Certifications Required: BLS, PALS
- EMR: EPIC
- Procedures: Everything but Liver Transplants, Heart Transplants and High-Level Burns; typical (normal) procedures you'd see in this setting; experience with ECMO is a plus (not running ECMO but can managing it and CRRT) they will discuss in detail during the interview what day to day procedures look like / what to expect.
