Pediatric Hospitalist needed in Washington, PA! 24 hour on call coverage! $2700/shift!

Job description

Start date: 12/2/24
• Support staff:
• Coverage Type: 24hr (7a-7a)
• Schedule Details: 24/7 coverage. Round on babies in unit then be available for emergencies & deliveries, house on campus the locums can stay.
*5-7 shifts; will be varied dependent on what the APPs pickup.
Work Details:
• Practice Setting: Low level II NICU
• EMR/Charting Software: Sunrise/Allscripts
• Avg. Daily Census: roughly 2-3 in the nursery, less than 1 in the NICU. Annual births: Roughly 600 and potentially increasing
• Patient Age Group: babies only
• Procedures: Should be able to resuscitate and take care of newborns in a nursery and low level II NICU. *Where do premature babies transfer to? CHP or MWH. *Will they round on pediatric floor or Nursey: Attendance of delivery, then rounding and care for nursery & NICU babies. May get called to help with ED consults, but admissions would be ED physicians. Do they attend all deliveries? High risk and c section. Need to be available on call in case of any emergent situation. All procedures are a possibility, but given the acuity it might be a stabilize and transfer type of situation. Circumcisions, Intubations, Arterial lines, Central lines, and Umbilical lines, PICC
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: BC required
• State License(s): PA required
• Certifications: BLS CPR NRP required, PALS not required but is a plus.
• CSR Req’d: no
• DEA Req’d?: yes

• 13 week with possibility of extending
• 24 hour on call coverage
