-Specialty: PICU and peds transitional care
-Start Date: 11/4/24 – ASAP pending credentialing 60-90 days
-Contract Length: 6 mo
-Shift Details: 12 hour shifts
-PICU: 6:15 Signout AM/PM
-TCUP: 6:30 Signout AM/PM
-12h pay for each shift, with expected 30 mins self-determined unpaid lunch break per shift
-Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 12 shifts
• Patients per day: PICU Day: M-F 5:1, WEs 7:1, PICU Nights: 10:1, TCUP Day: 5-8:1, TCUP Nights 16:1
• Patient population/age: peds
• Department description: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital provides extraordinary high-level care for children who require continuous monitoring. The unit has 20 beds for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. More than 1,000 children per year are admitted into the intensive care units at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital arriving via ambulance, helicopter and airplane from throughout the western United States.
-The Pediatric Transitional Care Unit (TCUP) is a 16-bed unit for infants and children suffering from a variety of conditions or recovering from surgery. The TCU provides care to patients with a moderate to high complexity of disease such as those recovering from solid organ transplantation, requiring non-invasive mechanical ventilation including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, titration of anticoagulant therapy, and post-operative specialty surgery care (ENT, neurosurgery).

•Practice Setting: Hospital
-Requirements:
• Board Certification: **NP MUST BE CPNP-AC**
-If PA, then a masters in physician assistant studies or medical studies required
• License required: yes, CA
• DEA: required
• Minimum experience required: 2 years minimum of recent/relevant experience.
-Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
-BR: 230 all
