Pediatric Anesthesiologist needed in Tampa, Florida

Specialty: Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing

Shift Details: Day shifts with overnight beeper and some weekend call.

Schedule: Asst Medi Director will discuss with candidate during screening call. The schedule is dependent on whether candidate will do adult cases as well

Work Details:

Support Staff: Pedi anes who will work with a care team model – some cases solo.
Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 40 hours per week
Patients per day: Dependent on schedule of the OR and NORA sites. Ave monthly volume is 960 cases with 30% of those falling in pediatric category.
Patient Population/Age: Neonates to adults
Department Description: 22 anesthesiologist and 65 anesthetists – both CAA and CRNA, all types of cases including trauma and stroke (if the candidate takes adult call)
EMR: Cerner
Special Procedures: All required to care for pediatric patients; all types of pedi cases; general adults. Physician must be comfortable performing solo cases on NICU babies

Travel Logistics:

Specific travel client will pay for: No Airfare- Rental Car, or Mileage, and lodging
Travel caps: Lodging -$1050/ a week
Requirements:

Board Certification: BC with Pediatric fellowship
License Required: Active Florida License
DEA: Yes
Certifications Preferred: ACLS, PALS
Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
