Trauma APP Locum Opportunity – Level 1 Trauma Center in the Bay Area

Job description

- Schedule: 5x8s preferred, but will consider 3x12s. Mix of days, nights, weekends, and weekdays. At least 4 weekend shifts per month required

**Practice Overview:**
- Setting: Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center)
- Patient Volume: 20-25 patients per day (split with resident on the floor); 20 patients per day in clinic and 5-12 trauma activations per shift
- EMR: Epic

**Responsibilities & Required Skills**
- Comprehensive trauma care from ED to floor & ICU
- Management of shock, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), stroke, and multisystem trauma
- Experience in Neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, or ICU preferred
- Central lines, arterial lines, and chest tube placement strongly preferred

**Requirements**
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in trauma (Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred)
- Preferred: ATLS (must be willing to obtain within one year of start)
