Orthopedic Surgery - Weekend Call Locum Opportunity

Job description

A Level 2 trauma Center in NC is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to provide to provide weekend locum coverage starting in June . Active NC license is required. Please see a few details below:

· 3+ month contract with option to extend
· Weekends only, Fri am—Mon am
· Taking call for trauma patients coming through the ED
· Ortho Trauma Fellowship is preferred
· Procedures: Must be comfortable with the evaluation and provisional and/or definitive treatment for acute traumatic injuries commonly seen at Level II trauma centers, bread-and-butter musculoskeletal conditions resulting in inpatient consultation. Emergency Department consultations, reductions, splinting/casting, and any indicated operative procedures, pelvic and /or acetabulum fractures is not expected but provisional stabilization with skeletal traction, external fixation, and/or application of pelvic binders is in scope.
