OBGYN Laborist Locum Opportunity

Job description

An Acute Care Hospital in WA is seeking a skilled Locum OBGYN Laborist to provide comprehensive obstetrics care. This role involves labor deck coverage, OB emergencies, operative delivery consults, teaching fellows/residents, and covering applicable MHS clinic calls. Flexible shift options are available, including 24-hour call or 12-hour shifts.

Work Details:
• Shift Options: Flexible, including 24-hour call (in-house and/or beeper call) or 12-hour shifts. Candidates should specify their preferred shift type.
• Laborist Shift Coverage Includes:
o Coverage of labor deck (OBED, OB emergencies, operative delivery consults).
o Teaching fellows/residents in the hospital setting.
o Coverage of applicable MHS clinic calls (MOGA, EP, etc.).
o Collaborating with physician practice OBGYNs, CNMs, and physicians assigned to GYN ED coverage.
o Supporting the midwife team, including backing up for C-sections.
• Teaching Opportunities: Partnering with fellows on L&D at Tacoma General Hospital and working with FP/OB residents at Good Samaritan Hospital.
