Locums OBGYN Needed in Virginia!

Job description

Specialty: OBGYN
Start Date: August
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: 8 (24-hour in-house call shifts per month)
Will allow 2 24-hour in-house call shifts in a row to be worked

Work Details:
Support staff: 5 Board-Certified OB/GYNs, 5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and a Certified Nurse Midwife

Amount of coverage needed per month: 8 24-hour call shifts per month
Call Coverage responsibilities: All OB services on labor and delivery, Unassigned OB GYN call for the hospital

Department description: Practice averages 70-75 deliveries and 20-25 non-obstetrical surgeries per month; this is not a slow practice.

***Will be expected to manage residents***

EMR: EPIC

Hospital bed size: 146-bed acute-care medical center with excellent support staff and a medical staff of 280 physicians, representing a broad range of specialists, and a Level II Nursery.

Special procedures:
Skills required: OB GYN core with minor GYN surgical

Requirements:
Board Certification: BC American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
License required: VA
Willing to license, candidate must have a strong OBGYN background

DEA: Required
CSR:
Certifications preferred: EFM, NRP, PALS

Minimum experience required: 2-3 years (Client prefers 5+ years)
Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days
