OB/GYN Physician – Clinic, Surgery & Call Coverage

Job description

A hospital in Ohio is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physician to fill an ongoing vacancy. Both permanent and locum-to-permanent candidates will be considered.

The ideal physician will provide weekday clinic coverage, participate in gynecologic surgery, and have an interest in robotics and potentially urogynecologic procedures.

Schedule

The preferred schedule includes:

Two weekday clinic days, ideally Wednesday–Friday
One gynecologic operating room day
One 24-hour weekday beeper call shift per week
One 72-hour weekend beeper call shift per month


Clinical Responsibilities

The physician will provide full-scope OB/GYN services, including:

Outpatient clinic care approximately 2–3 days per week
Gynecologic surgical procedures
Obstetric and inpatient coverage
Hysterectomies
Hysteroscopies
Laparotomies
Salpingectomies
VBACs
Robotic surgery, preferred
Potential urogynecologic procedures, preferred

The practice manages approximately 700 deliveries annually. When on call, the physician can expect approximately one delivery per day, along with a variable number of nighttime and weekend phone calls. In-house anesthesia is available.


Requirements
Board certification or board eligibility in OB/GYN
Ohio medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
DEA registration
BLS certification
Minimum of one year of experience
