Facility:
This well-established health system serves the greater Fargo region and offers a robust obstetrics and gynecology program. The facility features 16 labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms along with a dedicated OB operating room, supporting approximately 120 deliveries per month in a collaborative and well-staffed environment.

Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Locum (Laborist) coverage starting ASAP upon credentialing, ongoing need
• Prefer weekday coverage with 2-3 24-hour shifts per month
• Requires 24 hours off between shifts
• Physicians perform approximately 65% of all deliveries
• Must be ABMS or AOA board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Must be comfortable working collaboratively with a Midwife
• Must hold an active/current license in ND or hold an IMLC license with a future expiration date
• Credentialing timeframe estimated at 45-120 days
• OB provider will be able to stay at a hotel until called in
• Manage low and high risk pregnancies
• FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE required
• OB Ultrasounds - performance and interpretation required (Level I/Screening)
• Routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
• Complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Office and minor gynecology procedures required (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
• Surgical gynecology required including open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
