Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician

Position Type: Locum Tenens

Shift: 24-hour call coverage, typically 7:00am-7:00am; 3 to 6 days/month; days vary

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult patients; average daily volume of 2-5 patients depending on census and acuity
Setting: 100% Inpatient/Hospital-Based; Trauma Level I and Level II facilities; rural practice setting
Responsibilities: Independent inpatient OB/GYN call coverage; routine deliveries; management of obstetric emergencies; comprehensive inpatient women's health services
Required Procedures: Routine vaginal deliveries; cesarean sections; management of obstetric emergencies
EMR System: Oracle
Support Staff: Minimal supervision; hospital-based support
Days Per Month: 3 to 6 days per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call required; weekends required; beeper/phone call coverage; 1:5 call ratio

Submission Requirements:
Board Certified OB/GYN - REQUIRED
Active Michigan Medical License at Time of Submission - REQUIRED
Must be willing to cover all 3 listed locations: Gaylord, Cadillac, and Charlevoix, Michigan - REQUIRED
BLS, ACLS, PALS, EFM, NRP, DEA; clean malpractice history; broad scope OB/GYN experience including routine deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies - REQUIRED
