Job Description

The primary focus of the Nurse Practitioner is to support women’s health by providing high quality care.

Details:

Permanent position
Flexible scheduling
Monday through Friday, no nights or weekends
Provide low risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Pre-conception, family planning, routine gynecology, and well woman care
Provide routine prenatal care to pregnant women
Conduct physical examinations
Prescribe medications including controlled substances and contraceptive methods
Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests
Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and individualized wellness education and counseling
Perform patient medical history and physical and initial obstetric evaluation of patient at first visit
Identify high risk obstetric problems and communicates any transfers with an OBGYN

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited BSN nursing program and Masters in nursing or other clinical area
California Nurse Practitioner license
Current furnishing number
2-3 years of relative experience
Board Certified
DEA
BLS
