WHNP or Midwife needed in Tennessee
Job description
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Length: 3 months (option to extend)
Schedule:
4–8 shifts per month
12-hour and 24-hour shifts available
Practice Setting:
Join a collaborative OB team providing full-scope midwifery care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The provider will work closely with OB/GYNs, RNs, LCSWs, health coaches, lactation counselors, childbirth educators, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services.
Responsibilities:
Independently manage and provide full-scope midwifery care
Provide day-to-day leadership and expertise on Labor & Delivery
Triage and manage emergent obstetric patients in collaboration with RNs and OB/GYNs
Optional: First assist surgical support
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and OB emergency skills training
EMR: Paragon
Requirements:
Active TN RN & APRN licenses
AMCB certification required
BLS (required) and NRP (preferred)
Experience in intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Additional certifications in Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, or Lactation Consultation preferred
