Facility in Steamboat Springs, CO seeking Midwife locums coverage Rates: $125/hr Opportunity Highlights Full-Time Schedule: We require a commitment to full-time coverage, with a minimum of three weeks per month of availability. Flexible Schedule: Your weekly schedule will include three clinic days (8 AM - 5 PM, M-F), with varying hospital shifts. Balanced Caseload: The practice is approximately 50% low-risk pregnancy and 50% high-risk pregnancy, with a mix of office GYN and C-section deliveries. Collaborative Team: You will be part of a team of three OB/GYNs and three CNMs. OB/GYNs are present as second call, and an on-call virtual MFM/Perinatologist is available for support. Call Schedule: You'll participate in a 1 in 3 call schedule, with a 20-minute response time. Callbacks are frequent, with an 80% callback rate for OB and a 20% callback rate for GYN. EMR System: The facility uses Epic for both hospital and clinic charting. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for both low- and high-risk pregnancies, including FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) and OB ultrasounds. Handle routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal deliveries, decision-making for C-sections, and repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations. Perform office-based procedures such as IUD insertions, colposcopies, and LEEP. Manage a clinic patient load of 10-12 patients per day. Work collaboratively with the OB/GYN team and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care. Provider Requirements Board Status: Board-Certified. Licensure: An active Colorado license or IMLC is required. Commitment: Must be available to provide full-time coverage. Skills: Experience with all required procedures, including complicated deliveries and advanced laceration repair.
