Neurosurgeon Annapolis MD 21401

Looking for an entrepreneurial, self-starting BC/BE MD. Prefer a general neurosurgeon with cranial and spine skills, although practice will be heavily spine-oriented. We would consider a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon as well. Ultimately, interest in a very successful multi-specialty outpatient surgery center and ownership in our office building could be available.

Combination of office and operating room. More complex cases at the Anne Arundle Medical Center Hospital; outpatient cases at Riva Road Surgical Center (our physician-owned ASC). Hospital privileges require ER call and we also share in coverage of our practice patients (patient phone calls and emergency room visits). The frequency of ER call is TBD as we would need to work this out with the Hospital Administration, but no more than 1:3 (unless we have a real “go-getter” who wants more frequent ER calls and therefore build their practice more quickly). We have a strong group of 5 mid-level practitioners who are instrumental in office, call and OR work.


Techniques/ Specialty utilized: Routine and moderately complex spinal procedures. Should have a comfort level for outpatient spine cases. Until the recent the past, our practice has performed intracranial tumors (Radiosurgery program at hospital) as well as ER subdural/epidural hematomas, etc. A cranial practice could be relatively easily re-kindled;
