New Locums Need for a Neonatal NP in OH!

Job description

Specialty: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
Start Date: 11/4/24 or as soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months

Shift Details:
Hours: 3x12 or 4x12 per week
Coverage: 7 days per week
Maximum Consecutive Shifts: 4 consecutive shifts
Schedule: Monday – Sunday; 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

In-house attending 24/7

Case Management
Ancillary Staff
8-9 APPs during the day, 3 APPs at night. Providers are never alone.
Coverage Needed: 24 shifts per month
Patients Per Day:
Day: 10 patients per day
Night: 25 patients per night, but only actively manage 5-6
Patient Population: Neonatal
Department: NICU
EMR: EPIC
Hospital Bed Size: 673 total beds, 130 NICU beds
Special Procedures:
Intubation
Chest Tubes
Lumbar Punctures (LPs)
Occasional Umbilical Lines (most patients come with tubes and lines already placed)
Skills Required:
Comfortable working in a level 4 NICU
Intubation, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, umbilical lines
Great personality and ability to work well with tenured staff
Practice Setting:
Hospital

Requirements:
Board Certification: Yes, must be certified NNP
State License: Yes
Certifications Required: NRP, board-certified NNP
Minimum Experience: 2+ years
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
