Coverage Type: Scheduled hours plus call

Schedule:

Shift Options: 12-hour and 24-hour shifts
Typical Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Could be a mix of days, nights, and weekends; night shifts are a priority
Work Details:

Support Staff: Attending physician available from 8 AM to 4 PM, then on call if needed
Patients per Shift: 7
Patient Population/Age: 26 weeks gestation and higher
Department Description: Level 3 NICU
Required Skills:
Intubation
Lumbar puncture
Chest tube placement
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Neonatal resuscitation
Attending all high-risk deliveries
Rounding in the NICU
Requirements:

Board Certification: Yes
License: Active Connecticut (CT) License required
Certifications: NRP certification required
Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days
