Hematology/Oncology Locum Physician Needed in Findlay, Ohio | 2027 Call Coverage
Job description
Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Findlay, Ohio. The physician will provide outpatient oncology and benign hematology care, along with inpatient rounding and call coverage.
This is a collaborative community-based practice with experienced clinical support. The facility prefers physicians who can provide two to four weeks of coverage per month, but providers available for the specific 2027 call weeks are also encouraged to apply.

February 26, 2027 at 8:00 AM through March 5, 2027 at 8:00 AM
March 26, 2027 at 8:00 AM through April 2, 2027 at 8:00 AM
April 23, 2027 at 8:00 AM through April 30, 2027 at 8:00 AM
May 21, 2027 at 8:00 AM through May 28, 2027 at 8:00 AM
June 18, 2027 at 8:00 AM through June 25, 2027 at 8:00 AM
July 16, 2027 at 8:00 AM through July 23, 2027 at 8:00 AM
August 13, 2027 at 8:00 AM through August 20, 2027 at 8:00 AM
Providers who can cover one or multiple weeks are encouraged to apply.
Schedule and Coverage
Outpatient clinic schedule: Four to five days per week
Call rotation: Minimum 1:4 call participation
Call week: Friday at 8:00 AM through the following Friday at 8:00 AM
Weekend inpatient rounding required during assigned call weeks
Tumor board attendance required during on-site working weeks
Preferred coverage: Two to four weeks on-site per month
Position is not a sole-provider assignment
Clinical Details
Average volume: Approximately 15 to 20 patients per day
Adult patients only
New and follow-up oncology patients
Benign hematology patients
General community medical oncology
Hematology experience required
No procedures required
Practice Support
The physician will be supported by:
Full-time Registered Nurse
Medical Assistant
Chemotherapy-certified infusion clinic nursing staff
Additional physicians within the practice
Candidate Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Active Ohio medical license preferred
Physicians requiring Ohio licensure may be considered
Recent Medical Oncology and Hematology experience
Comfortable with outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and call coverage
References preferred
Recent locum providers should be prepared to provide a reference from their most recent assignment
Ability to explain employment gaps of two months or longer
Open to locum-to-permanent consideration preferred, but not required
