Hematology/Oncology Locums – Community Teaching Hospital – Central Massachusetts

Job description

Community teaching hospital in central Massachusetts is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for a long-term locums assignment with an early-2026 start. Join a multidisciplinary cancer program with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology, advanced technology, and a strong support team.

Position Details:
• Setting: Primarily outpatient Hem/Onc clinic with hospital call and consults
• Schedule: Standard 5-day workweek; 12-hour days (7:00–19:00). Final clinic/call schedule to be confirmed with the group.
• Patient volume: Approximately 15–18 patients per shift
• Practice environment:
o Comprehensive cancer services (chemotherapy, advanced radiation options, imaging, rehab, and support services)
o Multidisciplinary care with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology
• EMR: ONCO EMR in clinic; Cerner in the hospital
• Duration: ~26 weeks with ongoing/extension potential
• Employment type: Locum Tenens (1099)

Requirements:
• Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• Ability to manage a broad mix of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies in a community teaching-hospital setting
• Comfort working in a busy outpatient clinic and participating in call/consult coverage
