Flexible Medical Oncology Opportunity – Immediate Start, Supportive Team, and Balanced Schedule

We are partnering with a facility in AZ that urgently needs an experienced Medical Oncology Physician for locum coverage starting immediately. This position offers a balanced schedule, a supportive team, and a manageable patient load in a well-equipped facility, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced Medical Oncologist looking for a flexible and collaborative work environment.

1. Immediate Start and Flexible Contract:
• Opportunity to begin as soon as possible.
• Flexible contract length of up to 6 months.
2. Work-Life Balance:
• Monday through Thursday schedule with 7:45am-4:30pm hours.
• Typically, 36 patient contact hours and 4 administrative hours on Fridays, with flexibility.
3. Supportive Team Environment:
• Dedicated support staff including a clinic nurse, nurse navigator, medical assistant, office coordinator, and clinical oncology pharmacist.
4. Manageable Patient Load:
• Average of 15 patients per day, allowing for focused and personalized care.
5. Comprehensive Practice Setting:
• Combination of clinic/private practice with one week on call per month to include inpatient coverage.
• EMR system: Cerner.
6. Collaborative and Integrated Care:
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive oncology care.
7. Well-Equipped Facility:
• Hospital bed size of about 200, providing a robust infrastructure for patient care.
8. Patient Population:
• Focus on adult patients over 18, allowing specialization in adult oncology.
9. No Special Procedures Required:
• Focus on medical oncology without the need for additional special procedures.
