About the clinician's workday

The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a 1:3 call rotation, which is shared with two other MFMs. Call is taken from home, and the provider will be responsible for accepting transfers and notifying the laborist about incoming patients. There is no in-house call. The typical patient load is 20-24 per day, with 4-6 new consults, and all patients (new and follow-up) require ultrasound. Hospital rounding typically includes 1-6 patients, with a PA assisting. Required skills include ultrasound reads, amniocentesis, and cerclage. The provider must be board-certified or board-eligible in MFM and hold a DEA license, along with Nevada's State Pharmacy Controlled Substance Licensure (CS). BLS and ACLS certification are required.

Additional job details

• Case load/PPD: 20-24, new consults avg 4-6/day; avg hospital 1-6 for rounds with a PA
• Support staff: 2 – 4 Sonographers (2 are travelers); 1 APRN (rounds with MFM on call daily); 2 MA’s. Our Women’s Health team has several CNM’
• Call ratio/schedule: Sched is M-F 8-5 with 1:3 call response abilities; Shared with the other 2 MFM’s. Call is a week @ a time. No in house call
