We are hiring a Nurse Practitioners for one of our clients in Kissimmee, FL.
Job Description:
This is an advanced and specialized clinical medical work, requiring focus on the specialty areas of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Refugees Health, Family Planning, and Women's Health.
The APRN will perform certain medical acts and procedures within protocols established mutually with the Medical Director.
Collect, interpret and record health data from patients presenting in the STIs, Family Planning, Women's Health, and Refugees Health Clinics, including breast and pelvic exams, placement and removal of intra uterine devices (IUDs), provision of all forms of contraception methods within the boundaries of the State of Florida mandates.
Perform annual physical exams for uninsured patients and comprehensive physical evaluations of refugees.
Identifies and evaluates medical conditions and illnesses.
Initiates diagnostic laboratory tests and evaluates all results in a timely manner.
Advanced knowledge of nursing practice, familiarity with Title X guidelines.
Participate in all screening and immunizations campaigns as deemed necessary by the Nursing and Medical Directors and provides immunizations.
Within protocols established mutually with the Medical Director, initiate appropriate therapies consistent with the diagnosis.
Oversee the work of all personnel assigned to assist. Utilize expertise to educate the patients, their families, staff and community.
Participate in staff development, programs, and orientation.
Assume responsibilities for maintaining current State of Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director or Nursing Director based on circumstances due to clinical or staffing needs.
