Location Description - Vermont, the Green Mountain state, is the place to simply stand still and enjoy the beauty of outdoors and nature, or to ramp up the fun with help from nature’s resources: skiing or snow tubing on the frosted mountains; joining other dazzled leaf peepers to gaze at the brilliant fall foliage; hiking, biking, fishing, or paddling through the cool forests; playing a round of golf on smoothly cultivated hillsides. In winter, Vermont is the mecca for skiing at a number of mountains from massive to intimate. Famous Vermont ski areas include Stowe, Killington, and Mount Snow, among many others. Activities for children and families cover a wonderful range of outdoor fun in the lakes and mountains, nature, art, and history museums, and visits to hospitable farms
