Hospitalist- Recruiting for physician who will no longer be providing Hospitalist work. (Two in the program now and losing one). Looking for Board Certified or Board Eligible with plans to become Certified. Can consider practicing candidates or new residents / fellows. Visa candidates will be considered, but MUST have excellent communication skills. Currently seeing 10-12 patients/day with not very much at all at night. This is a hospital based employed position that is well supported by the community physicians. The physician will work designated shifts and there are no other call requirements. The schedule is 7 days on and then 7 days off. You are on call for 24 hours. Must be comfortable and proficient with ventilator management, intubations, and ICU patient management, and central lines. Straight salary at this point. Started in 2010 with two employees. We have a 7 bed open ICU. Currently running a census of about two but varies. No intensivist. Payor mix is 25% Medicare, 9% Medicaid, 12% self-pay and 52% commercial. Commercial contracts are predominately percent of charges, as high as 95%. Compensation based on MGMA Median - $200K range + full benefits package.
