Physician - Hospital Medicine

Job Details:

• Full-time Pediatric Hospitalist position providing newborn nursery and hospital pediatric coverage
• Schedule consists of six (6) weekday shifts and two (2) weekend shifts per four (4) week cycle, with thirteen (13) cycles per year
• Each shift is twenty-four (24) hours in duration
• For weekday shifts, physician must be on-site between 5:00 PM - 10:00 AM and available by phone between 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• For weekend shifts, physician must be on-site for the entire twenty-four (24) hour shift
• Hospital coverage includes rounding on newborns, attending both scheduled and emergent C-sections, managing phototherapy, occasional pediatric consults to ED or floors, and stabilization of newborns for transport
• 24/7 neonatologist support available
• Faculty opportunity available with Quinnipiac University for teaching medical students
• BC/BE in Pediatrics required
• Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License
• Candidate must have a passion for patient-centered care and a willingness to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
