This 520-bed academic teaching hospital serves as a major academic affiliate of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, providing a dynamic environment for physicians passionate about resident education and mentorship. The well-established Hospital Medicine program is collegial and supported by a full complement of subspecialists, dedicated intensivists, and strong case management and nursing teams, all within a collaborative, physician-led environment that prioritizes clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Physician - Hospital Medicine
Job Details:
- Full-time Hospitalist position at a 520-bed academic medical center in Bridgeport, CT
- Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine required; MD or DO with eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure
- Schedule of approximately 17-19 shifts per month utilizing a non-block scheduling model
- Average patient census of 14-16 patients per shift with a cap of approximately 18-20
- Closed ICU model with 24/7 intensivist coverage; hospitalists manage rapid responses while intensivists lead code situations and ICU care
- Join a team of 25+ hospitalists in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Active involvement in resident teaching and supervision with faculty appointment opportunities through Quinnipiac University
- Participation in quality improvement, clinical education, and curriculum development
