Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency

Job Details:

• Per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner role within an inpatient medicine hospitalist setting
• Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer outside-of-scope issues to physician
• Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License or be eligible
• Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience in an internal medicine or hospitalist setting required
• Monday through Sunday availability with flexible scheduling
• No call schedule required
• Comprehensive orientation provided for new and experienced providers
