Job Description:
This is a telephone triage/symptom management role within an oncology facility, focusing primarily on hematology, surgical, and medical oncology cases. The role may involve working with a team of 5-6 RNs during the day and 3 at night, or independently, depending on the needs. The position is onsite, and weekends are required. While primarily a day shift, occasional night shifts may be required.

The role involves using Cisco, Jabber, and Finesse systems. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of phone triage and oncology experience. A minimum of one year of RN experience, with at least six months of phone triage or oncology experience, is required. EPIC documentation experience is mandatory. A positive attitude is essential!

Certifications Required:

BSN

BLS (AHA)

California RN License

OCN Certification (preferred)

Skills/Experience Required:

Assessment (e.g., height/weight, laboratory results interpretation, medication reconciliation, pain assessment, health questionnaire, vital signs, chest pain, hypertension)

Pharmacy calls, patient refill requests, referrals, follow-up calls, medication refills, and patient teaching

Skills/Experience Preferred:

Oncology

Phone triage

Scheduling patient appointments

COVID-19 Vaccine: Required + Booster (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
