Hem/Onc physician needed in Oakland, CA! $450/hour+ Travel and Lodging!

Job description

Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, 6 shifts/week, total of 24 shifts/month
• Patients per day: 8 patients per clinic half day
• Patient population/age: county patients, majority are Spanish speaking patients. There’s also a large population of African American and Asian American patients
• Department description: outpatient clinic, seeing county patients with a variety of hem/onc diseases. Common to see breast cancers, lung cancers, colon cancers, benign heme cases such as work up for anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, MGUS etc
• Special procedures: Bone marrow biopsy, but we have IR that can do bone marrows as well

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Yes, must be BC in HemOnc
• License required: Yes, CA
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications preferred:
• Certifications required:
• Minimum experience required: 2 years of experience required, although facility would strongly prefer 4 years of experience. Spanish fluency strongly preferred, but not required
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

• 23 weeks with option to extend
• No on call
• Bone marrow biopsy, but we have IR that can do bone marrows as well
