📢 Now Hiring: Primary Care Physician for Outpatient Geriatrics – Locum Tenens Opportunity in San Mateo, California!

📍 Position Details:
• Start Date: ASAP, as soon as credentialed (Providers who can start within the next 4-6 weeks only)
• Contract Length: 3-months with an option to extend
• Shift/Schedule Details: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week
• Patient Volume: ~14 patients per day
• Credentialing Timeframe: ~30-45 days
• Patient Population: 100% Medical/Medicaid, 60+ years, high need/high complexity geriatrics
• Practice Setting: Public Health Clinic
• Support Staff: RNs, other clinicians, multidisciplinary team

Job Overview:
• Aya Locums is seeking 1-2 contract physicians for geriatric outpatient primary care clinic in collaboration with a local medical center. This role involves providing care to a high-needs, high-complexity, geriatric patient population, many of whom are in their 80s-90s. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatrics or a strong interest in working with this population. Must be comfortable with a public health FQHC setting.

Responsibilities:
• Provide continuity care to patients aged 60+ with complex medical needs
• Work with a diverse, multicultural patient population requiring complex language support
• Collaborate with a team of support staff, including RNs and other clinicians
• Ensure high-quality patient care in an integrated FQHC setting
• Supervise and consult with other healthcare providers as needed

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Geriatric Board is a plus, but not required) Will consider truly Board-Eligible candidates, depending on experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, with experience in geriatric care preferred
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: BLS required
