This is a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) with 18 beds, providing essential healthcare services to the surrounding rural community. The facility offers 24-hour general surgery call coverage with a 2-hour callback time, 24-hour CRNA coverage, and around-the-clock lab and imaging services, ensuring a well-supported environment for providers.

Physician - Surgery - General

Job Details:

• Immediate need beginning August 7 at 0500 through August 10 at 0500
• Provide general surgery coverage at an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital
• General surgery call coverage available 24 hours with a 2-hour callback time
• 24-hour CRNA, lab, and imaging support available on-site
• Perform adult general surgery procedures - pediatric and neonate surgery not required
• Laparoscopic surgery experience preferred, including appendectomy and cholecystectomy (required)
• GI endoscopy required, including both upper and lower endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy experience preferred
• Trauma surgery experience preferred - facility is a Level 4 trauma center
• Chest tube insertion and central line insertion experience preferred
• Active Wisconsin medical license required - no IMLC accepted
• Board certification eligible minimum; board certification not required
• ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-60 days
