General Surgery Locum Opportunity – WA Licensed

Start Date: May 1, 2025

Specialty: General Surgery

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 14–15 shifts per month (AM & PM Trauma)

FTE: 1.0

Coverage Reason: Provider leave

Setting: Inpatient (hospital-based only)

Privileges Required: Hospital privileges only

Call: Yes – trauma call, 12-hour shifts

Patient Volume: Variable; Level 3 trauma center, tertiary hospital ~25 miles away

Duties: Rounding, admissions

Team Structure: Works in collaboration with anesthesia and ED teams

Requirements:

Must be WA licensed and local – credentialing only begins with active WA license

Board Certification required

ATLS required; other certifications per MSO guidelines

Proficiency in Epic EMR required

Credentialing Details:

Standard Credentialing: ~90 days

Temporary Privileges: Valid for 120 days

Expedited Credentialing: ~30 days (must be pre-approved, clean pre-app, active WA license)
