Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Surgery - General

Job Details:

• Weekend coverage needed for select weekends in July: 7/1-7/2, 7/7-7/9, 7/14-7/16, 7/22-7/23, and 7/28-7/30
• 1-3 patient encounters per shift in a 4-bed department
• Perform general adult surgery including trauma cases
• Laparoscopic surgery required, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Head and neck surgery, including thyroid procedures, required
• Chest wall and pleural procedures required
• Breast surgery required
• GI endoscopy required, including upper and lower endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
• Hand surgery required
• Ventilation management required
• Chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement required
• Vascular surgery required, including aneurysm repairs
• Active Texas medical license required
• ACLS certification required
• Nearest airport is Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW)
