Job description

We are seeking a dedicated General Surgeon to join our team at a 25-bed critical access hospital. This is a great opportunity to provide essential surgical care in a supportive environment with excellent resources.

Position Details:

Support Staff: RNs, Emergency Medicine staff, and Surgery Techs
Coverage Type: 24-hour call coverage
Schedule: 7 AM - 7 AM shifts
Work Environment:

Facility Type: 25-bed critical access hospital
Practice Setting: Inpatient hospital
EMR/Charting Software: EPIC
Vaccinations: Not mandatory
Average Daily Census: Approximately 2 calls per day
Beds: 25
Patient Age Group: All ages
Procedures: Standard general surgery
Equipment: Standard hospital surgical equipment

Requirements:

Board Certifications: Required
State License: Must have an active OR license
Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Controlled Substance Registration (CSR): Not required
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
