Physician - Surgery - General

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens assignment with an anticipated end date of late December 2026, in support of an ongoing permanent physician search
• Providers with GI capabilities are highly preferred
• Must hold an active North Carolina medical license with a clean history
• Drive-in candidates are preferred; RDU (Raleigh-Durham International Airport) is the closest airport
• On-site call rooms available as well as nearby local hotel accommodations
• Board certification required; credentialing timeframe is approximately 3-4 days
• Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Perform general surgery procedures for adult patients; pediatric experience preferred
• Laparoscopic surgery required, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty; Nissen fundoplication preferred
• Breast surgery required; head/neck surgery (including thyroid) and chest wall/pleural procedures preferred
• GI endoscopy (upper and lower, including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy) preferred
• Minor orthopedics required; hand surgery preferred
• Chest tube insertion required; central line insertion and PA catheter placement preferred
• Vascular surgery skills required, specifically vascular access devices
• Plastic surgery experience preferred
• All overtime and callback require notes or MRN documentation
• NC license required; IMLC not accepted
