Aya Locums is seeking a General Surgeon to provide consistent coverage at a hospital facility in Arkansas. This opportunity offers a dynamic mix of acute surgical cases, continuity of patient care, and the chance to play a key role in maintaining the facility’s trauma designation.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: December 2025
• Contract Length: 6-month block
• Schedule: 1–2 weeks per month, every other weekend
• Call Requirement: 24/7 coverage during assigned weeks to support trauma designation
• Holiday Coverage: Must be available to work the week of Christmas (no exceptions)

Work Details
• Specialty: General Surgery
• Scope of Practice:
o Gallbladder/Biliary Disease management
o Hernia repairs
o GI disorders (upper GI evaluations, biopsies, and acute care treatments)
o Skin and soft tissue procedures (lesion, cyst, lipoma removals)
o Vascular access procedures (port placements for drug delivery)
• Setting: Hospital - Operating Room
• Support Staff: Dedicated surgical and perioperative team
• Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Requirements
• License: Active Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Board Certification: Required in General Surgery
• Experience: Proficiency in acute care general surgical procedures
• Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS (AHA required)
