General Surgeon – 24-Hour Call Coverage | Starting December 2025

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for ongoing 24-hour call coverage beginning December 19, 2025. This assignment offers a flexible schedule, recurring block coverage, and the opportunity to provide vital trauma support.

Assignment Details:

Start Date: December 19, 2025

Schedule: 24-hour call (7:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.)

Coverage: 1–2 weeks per month, every other weekend

Duration: 6-month block

Must be available week of Christmas – no exceptions

Responsibilities:

Provide 24/7 coverage to maintain trauma designation

Perform general surgery and acute care procedures

Typical Cases Include:

Gallbladder and biliary disease

Hernia repairs

GI disorders (upper GI evaluations, biopsies, acute treatments)

Skin and soft tissue procedures (lesions, cysts, lipomas, masses)

Vascular access (port placements for drug delivery)
