Job Details:

• Full-time Physician Assistant opportunity joining a multispecialty surgery team in an inpatient setting
• Serve as an essential part of the surgical team caring for a wide variety of surgical patients across numerous subspecialties
• Responsibilities include caring for surgical patients on the floor and first-assisting in the OR
• Autonomous role ideal for an experienced surgical Physician Assistant in a community hospital setting
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, weekdays only - no call required
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to other health team members or specialists
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Minimum 5+ years of surgery experience as a Physician Assistant required
