Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for inpatient-only 24-hour call coverage in Kingsport, Tennessee

Job description

This role involves alternating weekly coverage between two sister facilities—Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC) and Bristol Regional Medical Center (BRMC). Providers will round in the mornings, prioritize critical cases, and perform procedures in either the main OR or endo suite depending on location.

Schedule Overview:

Coverage begins January 5, 2026
24-hour call shifts: 7am to 7am the following day
Weekly blocks scheduled through December 2026
HVMC and BRMC alternate weekly (full schedule available upon request)
Clinical Details:

Inpatient only
Average daily census: 5–6 patients
Patient age range: adolescents through geriatrics
Procedures: general GI and ERCP (EUS not required)
EMR: Epic
Support: OR and in-house endo nurses
Requirements:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology
ERCP experience required
TN license or IMLC
DEA, BLS, ACLS
Clean background
Must be comfortable with high volume and fast pace
Vaccine exemptions accepted with proper documentation
Setting:

Float pool between HVMC and BRMC
Level 3 trauma center
Facility will not train on Epic—prior experience required
