Position Overview & Clinical Scope

A regional healthcare system in West Michigan is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with specialized training in Advanced Endoscopy to join an established clinical practice of 6 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The position offers a highly balanced workload across a dedicated endoscopy-only Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and a state-of-the-art inpatient endoscopy suite located on a single campus.

Practice Details & Clinical Workflow

Procedural Volume & Support: Daily outpatient endoscopy schedule averages 14 procedures (utilizing MAC anesthesia for all procedures). Inpatient census averages under 10 patients, with dedicated APP support handling inpatient consults.

Advanced Technology & Systems: Modern facilities equipped with Olympus 190 scopes, Epic EMR for inpatient/clinic visits, and ProVation for procedural documentation.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Serves as a referral center working closely with oncology networks, surgical oncology, medical oncology, colorectal surgery, and interventional radiology.

Teaching & Mentorship: Educational opportunities available through medical resident teaching and clinical mentorship.

Candidate Qualification & Submission Requirements

Licensure & Board Certification:

Board Status: Board Certified in Gastroenterology OR Board Eligible (must achieve Board Certification within 5 years of fellowship completion) [REQUIRED].

State Licensure: Active Michigan Medical License required at time of employment [REQUIRED].

Federal Credentials: Active DEA Registration and BLS Certification [REQUIRED].
