Job description

Setting: Inpatient / Emergency Department (265-Bed Facility)

Reason for Coverage: Provider shortage

Patient Population: Adults only (18+ years)

Support Staff: None

Scope & Duties: Full general inpatient gastroenterology duties and procedures.

Procedures: All standard GI procedures required. ERCP is [PREFERRED] but not mandatory.

EMR System: Cerner

Schedule & Hours

Coverage Dates: December 21 (3:00 PM) – December 27 (3:00 PM). Additional January dates TBD.

Shift Description: 24-Hour Call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

Weekend Requirements: Yes

Call Requirements: Yes (24-Hour Call)

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology [REQUIRED]

Education & Training: Completed Gastroenterology Fellowship [REQUIRED]

State Licensure: Active California Medical License [REQUIRED]

Certifications: Active California DEA and ACLS [REQUIRED]

Background & Malpractice: Clean background and clean malpractice history with no recent behavior or malpractice issues [REQUIRED]
