Assignment Overview

A Northern California health system is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide weekday clinic, inpatient consults, and call coverage across two nearby locations. This assignment includes clinic hours followed by night call, plus optional weekend 24-hour call. Providers should be comfortable with a full-spectrum GI practice, both inpatient and outpatient.

The facility will begin needing shift coverage January 2026, continuing into the March start and beyond.

Schedule Details

Clinic + Night Call (Weekdays):

Location 1: 7:30am–3:30pm

Location 2: 7:40am–3:40pm

Night Call: 5pm–7:30/7:40am next day


Weekends:

24-hour call coverage


Clinical Details

Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient

Daily Census: 12–16 patients

Support Staff: Full support available

EMR: Epic


Skills Required:

Upper GI Endoscopy

Esophageal Dilatation & Manometry + Interpretation

Small Bowel Biopsy

Lower GI Endoscopy

Sigmoidoscopy

Colonoscopy

Liver Biopsy


Requirements

Board Certification: Required

License: Active California license only

Providers Needed: 1

Credentialing: 90–120 days
